Holiday Travel Safety Tips

The holidays are the busiest travel period of the year, they can also be the most hazardous.  Be prepared this holiday season and travel smart and safe with these simple travel safety tips.

  1. Check the weather conditions before you leave
  2. Check the antifreeze levels in the car
  3. Have at least ½ of a tank of gas at all times
  4. Check the defrosters and all fluids
  5. Always have an emergency kit in the vehicle
  6. Keep some extra food in the car, freeze dried, granola bars, etc. (Stick with things that are simple and won’t go bad.)
  7. Stow away some space blankets
  8. Cell phone car charger
  9. Flashlight
  10. And most importantly, a Hydro Flask or two full of H2o.  We recommend a bottle of hot water and a bottle of luke warm water.  And remember with Hydro Flask’s double walled vacuum seal your water won’t freeze on long trips or cold nights broken down on the side of the mountain pass.

Have fun this holiday season and drive safely!
