What is Your Favorite Winter Olympic Event?

What’s your favorite winter event in the Olympics and why?  Maybe it’s the Lycra clad, rifle toting ladies in the Women’s Biathlon that send your heart-rate monitor into panic mode.  Or maybe it’s the dizzying grace and beauty of the impressive Men’s Figure Skating that melts your ice.  Could it be that the Super-G conjures up your inner speed demon to an extreme known only by fellow adrenaline junkies atop that double black-diamond?

Well, whatever it may be, we each have our favorite.

With so many contests of human style, speed, athleticism, grace, and power being featured in this winter’s Olympic Games, the “best” event is always a matter of personal opinion.  So, whether you favor the Curling contest, with their brushes and brooms, or the Ski-jump, with their long, plank-like ski’s, we all have a favorite, even if we can’t commit to just one.

There are as many reasons that we take interest in these athletic events as there are spectators.  Imagination, dedication, and our instinctual thirst to learn from the masters at their finest provoke these undying inspirations.

Imagining ourselves competing at this level is an inspiration in itself!
